For anyone that knows me, they know that journalism was {and will always be} my first passion. I went to school for journalism and always thought that I would be anchoring for The Today Show.
Clearly-- that never happened!
So, when Jenna Caiazzo, anchor at Fox News Charlotte reached out to me in regards to an interview on diverse couples in Charlotte- I said, "heck ya!" I reached out to one my favorite former clients, Robin {who you may remember from here}, to help me with the interview. She did a great job!!

featured {completely unveiled}
We at Favor Me Events are wrapping up the week on a high note and wanted to share!
SO, SO, SO excited to say that Completely Unveiled Blog {by Weddings Unveiled} has featured our recent inspiration to reality session!
It was a cool day in March when photographer, Tara Mauldin and I headed to Carrigan Farms in Mooresville for this "Rustic Valentine" shoot. And what a labor of love it was as we both rocked it out for hours in the brisk mountain air.
A HUGE thank you to all of the vendors that brought this shoot together so beautifully.
Photography: Tara Mauldin Photography
Florals: Lily Greenthumb's Floral Artistry
Cake Pops: Wow Factor Cake Design
Stationery: SCM Design
Linens/Chair Rentals: Party Reflections
Location: Carrigan Farms
Click here for the full story!
Stay tuned -- more photos from the shoot will be up shortly on both the blog and website!
with love.

allison and matthew {carolina bride magazine}
Whew- what a windy {but gorgeous} day it is in Charlotte!
I was so happy to get my hands on the recent April/June 2011 issue of Carolina Bride and see Favor Me Event's couple Allison Avery and Matt Isenhour in the Rules of Engagement section.
Allison and Matt have quite the engagement story that involves not one- but two proposals {the ring went missing the first time around!} For the full story, be sure to pick up a copy of Carolina Bride.
The couple will be married on May 7, 2011 at Allison's families' church with the reception at the Mint Museum Uptown. Lindsey Lee Photography will be documenting the day.

Featured {charlotte wedding magazine}
After a bit of a blogging hiatus, I am back! First, Happy New Year! Here's hoping that 2011 brings only good things.
2011 may be just a few days old, but I can not be happier with the way it has been unfolding. I am so excited to finally share the Spring/ Summer 2011 Issue of Charlotte Wedding Magazine. How gorgeous is the cover?

I was approached by Charlotte Wedding to create an upscale county fair themed wedding for their inspiration shoot. Not going to lie-- this was quite the challenge and labor of love {and not to mention many, many, m.a.n.y hours of sewing flags and and a tent. Yes-- I said a tent!}
I immediately contacted The Place for Flowers who did an amazing job with the simple, yet elegant florals. Also-- a special thanks to Taylor for lending us his bench!
Amy at WoW Factor Cakes stole the show with her amazing and delicious cake!
La-tea-da's truly outdid themselves with the amazing amount of pint-sized food. Finally, thank you to Anna De Leon from Nuage Mulberry who designed and produced the save the dates, invitations and all other printing. Bravo!
Be sure to check out Charlotte Wedding Magazine for the full story- on newsstands now!
with love.
