kelsey and evan {tie the knot} the duke mansion

The rain poured for Kelsey and Evan's August 17th wedding. I mean POURED! And yet, by looking at this sweet couple that day, you would have never have known by looking outside that the skies were gray and the grass was soaked.

Luckily, their ceremony was inside and held at Christ Lutheran Church. The party then moved to The Duke Mansion for cocktails, dinner and dancing.

Both Evan and Kelsey share a love of coffee {I am a proud member of that fan club as well}, so they opted to give coffee beans as their favor with the words, "Love is Brewing." I can not even begin to tell you how amazing the room smelled that night.

Please enjoy some photos taken by Kristin and Aaron Byrum at Kristin Byrum Photography.

A special thank you to all of the vendors that made this wedding a success:

Stationery: Pink Toast Inc.
Table numbers and Favors: Etsy

Kelsey and Evan, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Much love, happiness and amazing coffee for you both!

with love.

priya and chris {tie the knot part 2} ballantyne hotel

Just a few weeks ago I shared with you images from day one of Chris and Priya's Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden wedding. If you need a refresher, the images as well as their story can be found: here.

Day one was the low-key day that was celebrated with a Christian ceremony and traditional southern food.

Day two, as you will see below, was nothing like day one. Day two was celebrated at The Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge with an Indian ceremony, traditional Indian food, extravagant decor as well as attire.

They say an image is a worth a thousand words, so I am going to let the photos do the talking. Crystal Stokes Photography did an amazing job of capturing all that happened that day. Please check out some of my favorite images below.

priya and chris {tie the knot part 1} daniel stowe botanical garden

Priya and Chris came to me in the 11th hour of their wedding planning process {well, more like four months out, but you'll get the point} and said that they were having not one, but two weddings. You may remember this adorable couple from: here.

They wanted to host one Christian wedding {a low-key event with Southern food and sunflowers for close family and friends} as well as an Indian wedding that was to be the larger than life, over-the-top affair.

Oh, and they did not have a photographer, florist, videographer or any of their design elements chosen yet. Yikes!

Priya and I hit the road running and began planning both wedding days.

Today I am sharing images from the first day at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. What an absolutely gorgeous day it was! Hot!!! But gorgeous. This was the laid-back day. The day where Priya got to wear her traditional white dress for her Christian ceremony.

Please enjoy some images from Day 1 captured by the ridiculously talented Crystal Stokes Photography. I can honestly say that I see A LOT of father/daughter interaction on wedding days-- but Crystal captured Priya and her father, Gautam so beautifully that I can not help but to think of just how much I love my dad to pieces {please excuse me while I go call him to tell him just that!}

And hold on to your hat for Day 2 images from the Indian wedding-- CRAZY gorgeous! But you will just have to wait a little longer for those...
