kristina and patrick e-session {styling}

Happy {rainy} Tuesday!

It may be pretty gross outside, but it's cozy in our office today sipping coffee and catching up on blog posts.

Speaking of cozy, meet Favor Me Events styling couple, Kristina and Patrick. These two are just so adorable together that I wanted to put them in my pocket.

The pair enjoys reading together {Harry Potter in particular}, playing music and watching films. So, I knew that we needed to incorporate all of this {or at least try to} in to their e-session. Kristina also clued me in to their pet name for each other {Bunny}- so I knew that needed to be included as well.

Photos were taken by the ever-so talented Critsey Rowe Photography.

Enjoy!

ashton bridals {styling} vanlandingham estate

Ashton was married back in August at The Morehead Inn to her long-distance love, Alister. The two met years ago in the States, but since then, Alister moved back to his hometown in England. This did not stop the couple from continuing their relationship and eventually tying the knot on their dating anniversary- August 25th.

When I asked what look Ashton wanted to convey with her bridals, she sent over this photo of Taylor Swift as inspiration.

From there, I started on creating a bridal interruption of the image. Ashton told me that her fiances' nickname is "cupcake"- so I knew that we need to incorporate cupcakes {and tea} for her British love!

The shoot took place at the historic VanLandingham Estate and was photographed by Critsey Rowe Photography.

Please enjoy some shots from the day...

interview with anne markey {wsge radio}

A few weeks ago I was asked by WSGE 91.7fm to give an on-air radio interview on the topic of wedding planning. Of course, I immediately said "yes" to the opportunity. This once journalism major never gives up any chance to have a microphone in hand.

The interview originally aired on August 27th, but is now available below for your listening pleasure by clicking: here. Enjoy!

lauren and jeff {tie the knot} peninsula club wedding

From the moment that I met Jeff and Lauren, I knew we were a good fit. Jeff is an avid Steeler fan {as am I - go black and gold!} and Lauren's family partakes in the traditional Polish money dance at weddings {as does mine}. So it came as no surprise that the three of us had a great time planning their wedding celebration.

Jeff and Lauren tied the knot on July 30th at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Huntersville with their reception at The Peninsula Club- a spot that has been a staple in Lauren's family for many years.

The couple decided early on in the planning process to stick with navy, gold and ivory as their color pallet. Jeff's cousin, who is a graphic artist, designed all of their print materials- even down to the "L&J" logo.

Please enjoy some photos from their day!

Thank you to the {long} list of vendors that made this day beautiful!

shannon bridals {styling} vanlandingham estate

Shannon got married this past weekend at the Point Lake and Golf Club. And while I was not her planner, I did have the opportunity to style her bridal portraits - taken at The VanLandingham Estate by Critsey Rowe Photography.

When coming up with some ideas for the shoot, Shannon mentioned that she had a great three-tiered stand that she planned on using at the wedding. Done and done! There it was- the focal point for the shoot, besides Shannon of course! I had a blast collecting all sorts of fun items to go on the stand and of course- we needed to top it off with something sweet, so cupcakes completed the look.

The cupcakes were made by Dreams Do Come True Cakes and I can personally tell you that they tasted as good as they looked!

Enjoy...

Congratulations on your wedding day, Shannon!

lauren and jeff {photo booth} peninsula club wedding

The weekend is almost here...hooray!

Jeff and Lauren were married a few weekends ago at The Peninsula Club, and while I can not wait to show you the photos from their day, we will just have to wait a little longer.

In the mean time, here are some fun shots from their photo booth- taken by husband and wife team, Elizabeth Scott Photography.

Side note: Photo booths are HUGE right now and not to mention, super fun! Guests {and vendors} love them. So, if you are getting married and want to incorporate an interactive and fun thing for guests- consider a photo booth. Many photographers, such as Elizabeth Scott Photography, are offering it as apart of their photography package and even include the props.

Alright, now on to the photos. Clearly, this bunch needs to learn how to let loose...

The bride and groom...

Even the vendors got in on the photo booth action.
