Happy Friday!!
As a general rule of thumb, I keep my personal life off of the blog. For a multitude of reasons- but mostly because A. I am pretty boring and B. Favor Me Events is about my amazing clients. Not me.
Today I am going to go against my rule of thumb a bit and announce some sorta personal {but more professional} news!
You may remember this post back in December when I said to stay tuned for some exciting news. Well, here it is....
My husband, Steve and I bought a house and closed on January 1st. Happy 2012, right?! {that is the personal part} and because of his endless support and belief in me, we made an in-home studio/meeting space for Favor Me Events {that is the professional part}!
I can not begin to explain how excited I am to finally have a meeting space for clients. It has been so much fun putting the space together and making it a reflection of me. Thank you, Ballard Designs and Pinterest {follow me!} for some serious inspiration!
Here are some photos of the space {taken by my trusty iPhone, so please don't judge}...

kate and andrew {engagement session}
Happy Monday!
Please meet Favor Me Events couple, Kate and Andrew!
This adorable pair is set to be married on November 3rd at St. Peter's Catholic Church with a reception at The Mint Museum Uptown.
Kate loves the Fall and Andrew loves football (actually any Chicago-related sports to be exact), so it came as no surprise when they decided on a Fall wedding (as well as engagement shoot).
Critsey Rowe Photography captured their e-session at Freedom Park. Even Kate and Andrew's dog Wrigley (named after Wrigley Field, of course!) joined in on the photo shoot fun!
Please enjoy some shots from their shoot...
So excited to be planning with the both of you!
with love.

michele and les {engagement session}
Happy Monday!
Please meet Favor Me Events couple, Michele and Les!
While this duo residents in Winston Salem, they could not resist the charms of a Charlotte wedding. A Duke Mansion wedding to be exact. Their wedding date is set for June 2nd and I am so excited to be planning with them.
So when Michele asked me to style their engagement session I jumped on the opportunity- it was a great way to get to know them a little more during the planning process. It also gave me the chance to decorate a tree in a park while sipping hot cocoa- not something I get to do everyday!
The shoot took us to Jetton Park. The amazing team at Kristin Bryum Photography captured Michele and Les at their best-- being silly, of course {notice the milk mustaches below!}

happy holidays {from favor me events}
As I am finishing up a few last things here before the holidays, I wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Holiday Season.
Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors, clients, friends and family that have made 2011 a success here at Favor Me Events. Here's to 2012!!! Can not wait to see what great things it has in store for all us! I have a feeling it's going to be pretty darn great!
I sent out cards this year {designed my the truly amazing friend and colleague, Stephanie Huxter from Inspire Design Studio}, but apparently the post office decided to only deliver a few...so in case you did not receive yours, here ya go!

jess and cam {tie the knot} mint museum uptown
Where to begin? Well, I will admit that I am pretty bummed that Jess and Cam's wedding has now come and gone. We had such a great time planning the wedding that I miss our daily emails and frequent meetings.
You may remember this hilarious duo from their e-session, here.
Jess and Cam tied the knot on October 22nd at First United Methodist and then moved the party to the Mint Museum Uptown. And what a beautiful Fall night it was to use that amazing terrace for a cocktail party!
Nothing was "usual" about this wedding- even down to the set up. Jess and Cam decided on modern long king's tables for the reception, which were placed on a slant (as opposed to traditional round tables). As well, a square bistro table was used for their sweetheart table.

robin and shawn {tie the knot} victorian crow's nest
When Robin and I originally met for consultation back in January, I knew that day at Panera that we would be a great fit. We both share the love of a great sale and old movies!
She was just full of ideas and had a stack of magazines with pages dog-eared and labeled for me to see {Robin looooves her magazines!}. As well, she was carrying a framed photo of her Aunt at prom-- the inspiration behind her and Shawn's 1950s wedding {see if you can spot the photo of her Aunt below in the photos. We made sure to incorporate it in to the wedding}...
Speaking of Shawn, if you haven't already done so- please check out their engagement session and story here. As well, their wedding video can be seen here.
Robin and Shawn tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony on October 29th at the Victorian Crow's Nest under crystal blue skies and brilliant orange leaves. The day was simply gorgeous!
The party was then moved inside to the ballroom, which was transformed in to a Soda Pop Shoppe- complete with an authentic 1950s photo booth, lavish candy station {complete with whoppie pies!} and gourmet sodas.
Please enjoy some {ok, maybe more than some...there are just too many not to share!} photos from their day- courtesy of Caroline Ghetes Photography.
