favor me events {a look at 2012}

Happy New Year from Favor Me Events! 2012 has been an amazing year- so let's recap!

This year, I had no shortage of amazing weddings and clients. I am thankful for not only great clients, but local vendors who continue to trust in my work and offer friendship both personally and professionally. Here's just a few weddings from this year...

I also can not forget to mention the huge opportunity that I was given this year to plan one of the delegate events for the Democratic National Convention. What an honor! Not going to lie-- it was a ton of work and at times, just plain tough-- but I wouldn't trade that experience for anything.

This was also a banner year for media coverage {mostly thanks to the DNC}.
Favor Me Events was covered in Biz Bash, The Charlotte Observer, Fox News Charlotte, Charlotte Wedding, Charlotte Business Journal and WCNC (NBC Charlotte) just to name a few.

Personally, my husband Steve and I celebrated our third anniversary, bought our first home together {where I was finally given space for a home studio!} and our little furry boy Benny turned one!

Looking ahead for 2013- I am beyond excited for what the new year has to bring. The weddings are rolling in and filling up the calendar as well as a new project is underway with Inspire Design Studio for a new magazine. Check out the sneak peek here

Lastly, thank you to all past and present clients as well as vendors for making Favor Me Events a continued success! Here's to 2013!

with love.

alice and biff {engagement session}

Hello on this dreary, rainy day in Charlotte. I think we all need a little pick-me-up this day. So, I want to share some lovely photos from Alice and Biff's engagement session.

Biff and Alice were actually scheduled to have their engagement session weeks ago. However, the night of Halloween, Alice lost her engagement ring while handing out candy. After hours of searching as well as multiple calls to the local police- Alice called off the search {as well as put the engagement session on hold} while she was waiting on paperwork from the insurance company and of course, for a new ring.

This smiley duo is set to be married at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church followed by a reception at The Ritz Carlton on May 18, 2013.

Biff is in finance and Alice is a pastry chef. Biff is from New Orleans and Alice is from New Jersey. Don't you just love when opposites attract?

Please enjoy some images from the talented Daniel and Candice Lanning at The Beautiful Mess.

Alice and Biff- it has already been a blast getting to know you and planning your wedding together. Can't wait for the big day!

with love.

genevieve and brad {tie the knot} the westin charlotte

It's only December 3rd and I have roughly listened to 100 hours of Christmas music since last week. Yep, I am one of 'those' people...

This morning I have some gorgeous photos to share from Genevieve and Brad's wedding on October 6th at The Westin Charlotte.

While the couple can not entirely agree on the way that they met, Genevieve and Brad can agree that they met thanks to US Airways (Genevieve as a flight attendant and Brad as as pilot). Seems storybook, no?!

When Genevieve first came to me in January, she knew that she wanted to use purple and blue jewel tones as well as incorporate peacock feathers in to her design.

While Brad is a good ol' American boy, Genevieve's nationality is Arab {although she was born in the Caribbean}. Because of this, it was important to both of them to have a wedding that incorporated their cultures. So, we had an American cake cutting, Arab belly dancing, and Caribbean music. Fun reception? You bet!

Please enjoy some photos below courtesy of Stephanie Pulliam from Indigo Photography. PS. Keep your eyes peeled for Genevieve- she will be making her debut on 'Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta' on TLC.

mary ellen and spencer {tie the knot} the duke mansion

Only one more day and it's my favorite day of the year-- Thanksgiving! Pumpkin pie is already calling my name.

Before taking a few days to be with friends and family, I wanted to share with you some photos from Mary Ellen and Spencer's wedding.

Even though the couple is based in Atlanta, I got to know both Mary Ellen and Spencer and their comedic ways. And for what the couple has in humor, they also have in intellegnce. Before saying their "I do's" they both passed the bar and began their careers as attorneys.

Mary Ellen and Spencer were married on September 22nd at the Duke Mansion. Throughout the planning process, Mary Ellen kept using "blush, soft, classic and romantic" to describe her wedding, and I think we accomplished just that.

Please enjoy some photos by Jay and Mimi at Indigo Photography.

A special thank you to all of the vendors that made this night one to remember:
