caitlin and nate | tie the knot | foundation for the carolinas

Spoiler alert: there is a lot of color in this post. Like, a lot, A LOT!

Being that Caitlin and Nate live in Alabama (fun fact: most of my couples do not actually call Charlotte home), my first 'meeting' with them was via phone. It was at that time that Caitlin said that she loved vibrant color and poppies and wanted to incorporate both into her wedding design as much as possible. Because most of my designs are more subtle in color, I was up for the change of pace.

Caitlin and Nate got married on May 4th at Foundation for the Carolinas. Once the ceremony was complete, we flipped the space as guests enjoyed cocktail hour and then brought them back to a completely transformed space.

While the weather was less than perfect that day with a literal torrential downpour during the ceremony (thankfully, we were inside!), the mood indoors was bright and cheery.

haley and sam | tie the knot | charlotte city club

May has been a whirlwind with weddings and planning sessions for all of our upcoming Fall events (so exciting..stay tuned!!)

Haley and Sam got married on May 11th at St. Ann Catholic Church followed by a reception at Charlotte City Club. Haley came to me through a past bride (her step-sister, Emily who's wedding can be seen by clicking: here). There really is no higher compliment than to have a past bride refer their family or friend. So, for this, I am incredibly grateful.

Both geologists, Haley and Sam met on a trip to Maylasia during graduate school. Because of this, Haley wanted to incorporate agate elements in ode to their love of geology. The fact that it rained (actually poured) on their wedding day didn't stop them from getting great photos in the lobby at the City Club... which both of them pointed out reminded them of agate. We couldn't have planned it better!
