katherine and michael | tie the knot | the duke mansion

I will be honest - I love the Duke Mansion. It's simplistic, Southern and just down right gorgeous. And as much as I looooove the Fall-- there is something so magical about the Duke while the gardens are in bloom.

Katherine and Michael's September Duke Mansion wedding was no exception. While these two call NYC home (notice the custom taxi cab treats) , they decided to get married in Charlotte, where Katherine grew up. Because it was a 'destination wedding' for many - they ended up taking advantage of their relatively smaller guest count of 65 attendees, and having an intimate dinner on the terrace- under market lights and stars.

Goes to prove that bigger isn't always better when it comes to wedding guest count.

Please enjoy some of my favorite images from Caroline Petters Photography, represented by Katie Osgood Photography.

brittany and barrett | tie the knot | byrons south end

Brittany wanted pink, pink and more pink. Barrett wanted Brittany to be happy. Good man!
But I think it is safe to say that we were able to make both of them happy as we took their vision of romantic softness and brought it to life. Think sequins, draping, lush florals and candles. Lots and lots of candles.

This sweet couple was married in June at The Design Center of the Carolinas, followed by cocktails, dinner and dancing at Byrons South End.

alison and curt | tie the knot | charlotte city club

Alison and Curt may live in Washington, DC- but they happily chose Charlotte as their wedding location. Many couples wonder if it is possible to live in one city and plan a wedding in another. And the answer is yes, yes, yes! Of course, a planner (ahem) is helpful- but it is certainly feasible!

Simple and classic, Alison wanted soft tones for her black tie June wedding. A church ceremony kicked off the wedding day at Myers Park Methodist Church and then guests headed to The Charlotte City for cocktails, dinner and dancing.

Please enjoy some images from the day by Lauren Rosenau Photography.

Thank you to all of the vendors who made this night memorable!
