kristen and alex | tie the knot | quail hollow club

It's crazy to think that Kristen and Alex's wedding was less than 2 months ago here in Charlotte on an 80 degree day... annnnnnd now we are all rocking puffy coats. Take me back, please!

I loved getting to know and work with Kristen and Alex. While Alex's family is originally from Charlotte, the couple currently resides in New York City-- so, they are a perfect example of why it is so important to have a local planner to be your advocate.
Fun fact: most of my clients are not local to Charlotte!

When I first 'met' Kristen via Skype last year, her vision was a tented reception on the lawn at Quail Hollow Club with lots of greener, candles and accents of marble. I think we accomplished said look!

Beyond the pretty details from the day, my favorite thing about this wedding was the energy of the guests. The dance floor was packed the entire night (even before dinner was served)!

Thank you, Kristen and Alex for trusting me to plan along side you (all the way from NYC) -- wishing you much love and happiness... and trips to Taco Bell!

with love.

nicole and chase | tie the knot | quail hollow club

When Nicole and I originally met to discuss design details, she mentioned that her married name would be 'Rose' and that she wanted to bring that in to the design of the wedding. Thinking this was such a sweet idea, we created a rose gold-inspired wedding design for this bohemian-loving bride.

Nicole and Chase were married on May 19th at Quail Hollow Club. The original plan for the ceremony was to be outside (on the course), but if you are local to Charlotte, you will remember that we had a two week wet spell in May. The week leading up to the wedding (and even that Saturday morning), the weather was off and on, so we made the executive decision to bring the ceremony inside the pavilion. Some tears were shed (guilty!), as I was personally so excited to see the ceremony design come to life on the course. But, I truly believe we made the right decision as we kept all 220 guests' comfort in mind.

Nicole and Chase are already talking about renewing their vows in a few years... and this time, keeping it on the course. Of course, I am up for this!

Despite the on and off rain, the day went off without a hitch. Thank you to the amazing list of vendors!
