I met Julia over a year ago when she contacted me from New York City saying that she had booked the Duke Mansion as her wedding venue via Google (I mean, what does that say about how gorgeous the Duke is -- even online!).
Commuting from NYC to Washington, DC weekly for law school, Julia knew that she needed feet on the ground in Charlotte - a city she had never visited prior to signing her venue contract.
Julia wanted to embrace the thought that this would be a destination wedding for all of her guests as well as the southern charm culture. She wanted to keep the design clean and traditional with an incorporation of a custom crest (created by Kristin Dills).
As Julia walked into the tent for her reveal, she said "this is like a dream"- and I couldn't agree more. I have to say- it truly was a magical day.
